Work starts on Memorial to the victims of the Manchester Arena terrorist attack

Construction has begun on the Glade of Light, a memorial to the 22 people killed in the May 22, 2017 Manchester Arena terrorist attack.

Affected families were consulted about the design, which will consist of a garden of seasonal plants surrounding a white marble “halo” that will hold memory capsules filled by families of each person killed.

The memorial should be complete in time for the 5th anniversary of the attack, reports ITV.
