TN firefighter climbs for FF Henry Miller, Jr.

Gallatin, Tennessee firefighter Mario Mendoza participated in the second annual New York City Firefighter Stair Climb on March 13, in which 343 firefighters from around the country climb the 72 flights of 4WTC in honor of the 343 firefighters murdered in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001.

Mendoza climbed for FF Henry Miller, Jr. of Ladder 105 and was able to meet Miller’s sister, Janice Testa, wrote Josh Cross of the Gallatin News Examiner.

The New York City Firefighter Stair Climb is organized by two FDNY firefighters, one of whom lost his father in the attacks. The climb’s funds benefit a different cause each year. This year, $70,000 from the climb went to Team Red, White and Blue, a veterans’ charity.
