Tim Farrell, co-founder of Terry Farrell Firefighters’ Fund, dies

Timothy Michael Farrell died on December 14, 2019 at the age of 62. Farrell, along with his brother, Brian, founded the Terry Farrell Firefighters’ Fund in honor of their brother Terrence, who was killed responding to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 with FDNY’s Rescue 4.

Terry’s Fund expanded to chapters in 17 states, raising more than $3.5 million for firefighters and their families. The Fund also donates equipment to firehouses in need, reports Timothy Denton for the Long Island Herald.

Tim Farrell ran a fundraiser that earned $12,000 very shortly before he died.

He also owned R.P. Murphy’s Public House in Wantagh for decades. It was sold in 2018.
