Thousands of flags placed in Somerset County to honor victims of 9/11

In conjunction with the America’s 9/11 Ride, the Somerset Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce and Somerset Inc. are honoring those killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 with a flag installation.

At the Pennsylvania Turnpike exit, acting as a gateway to Somerset County and the Flight 93 Memorial, are a flag for each of the 2,973 people murdered on 9/11.

The flags will remain on display throughout the month of September, reports Sydney Jaxtheimer of WJAC.
