‘They called us the plane people’: The Aussie flight attendant caught up in the 9/11 story which inspired a hit musical

Retired Australian flight attendant Marian Bradley reminisces about being one of the roughly 7,000 “plane people” stranded in Gander because of the closure of US airspace because of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

She is hoping to see the musical Come from Away, which tells the story of the small Canadian town inundated by planes that day. The show has reopened in Australia since pandemic closed theatres, reports Sarah Swain for 9News.

Bradley has kept in touch with people she met at Gander.
