Subway station destroyed on 9/11 finally ready to reopen

The Cortlandt Street subway station on the 1 train line will reopen for the first time since it was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

According to signage visible in the rebuilt station, the station’s new name will be “World Trade Center,” report Danielle Furfaro and Cedar Attanasio of the NY Post.

An opening date was not given.
