Staten Island man reunited with the NYPD officers who saved him

On January 30, 2021, off-duty NYPD Detective Dominik Ciaravino and NYPD Officer Jason Milman were fixing a bike and went to a Staten Island Home Depot, where they found the store’s employee Sal Sgroi in the parking lot. Sgroi had suffered a very severe heart attack, with 100% artery blockage.

Milman and Ciaravino saved his life with CPR.

They have just been reunited with Sgroi and his family.

“I teared up, so happy he is with his family,” Officer Milman told Lauren Glassberg of WABC Staten Island.
