St. Paul’s has put faith on Wall Street for 250 years

The newly restored St. Paul’s Chapel is celebrating its 250th anniversary, writes Rev. Alexander Santora in the¬†Jersey Journal.

As most people know, St. Paul’s survived the terrorist attacks of 2001 virtually unscathed, despite its proximity to the World Trade Center

Many rescue and recovery workers treasure the memory of St. Paul’s, which served as a place of rest for them during the recovery efforts.

George Washington worshipped¬†at St. Paul’s for two years, while New York was the nation’s capital. His pew still sits in St. Paul’s today.
