The annual Remember Me Run at St. Michael’s Cemetery will be taking place just before fall begins, on Saturday, September 13 at 3 p.m. There is a $25 registration fee for participants. The registration begins at 10 a.m. Early registration is available online at www.stmichaelscemetery.com or by mail at 72-02 Astoria Blvd., East Elmhurst, NY 11370.

This year Visions and SHAREing & CAREing will be joining the annual tradition. All money raised will be evenly divided between the two groups.

After the run, cancer survivors and the vision-impaired will hold a memorial service for the 9/11 First Responders who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Monuments to fallen members of the FDNY and NYPD, with individual names, and even a monument for the the K-9 unit, are proudly displayed at St. Michael’s Cemetery and are situated near the finish line.

“The Remember Me Run is for those who lost loved ones on 9/11 and it is nice to have Visions and SHAREing and CAREing be involved,” said St. Michael’s Cemetery Director of Community Relations Ed Horn.
