Small decision, profound impact: September 11 survivor Joe Dittmar to speak at Catholic Men’s Conference

South Tower survivor Joseph Dittmar is one of the speakers scheduled for the 17th annual Catholic Men’s Conference, on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, reports Steven H. Foskett, Jr. in the Telegram & Gazette.

Mr. Dittmar says his talk will focus on the importance of making good critical decisions and to prioritize the important things in life. On September 11, 2001, he was attending a meeting on the 105th floor of the South Tower when the North Tower was hit. Attendees at the meeting were unaware of the seriousness of the situation and were hesitant to leave. Dittmar had traveled to NYC for the meeting and was irritated by what seemed like an inconvenience, but he decided to evacuate.
