Slain NYPD cop’s family celebrates paid-off, renovated home from Siller Foundation

This Wednesday, Maritza Ramos, the widow of murdered NYPD Detective Rafael Ramos, celebrated at her renovated mortgage-free home in Brooklyn.

The FF Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation raised $1.2 million and paid the mortgage for the homes of Detective Ramos and his partner Detective Wenjian Liu, who was killed in the same attack, reported Maria Alvarez in Newsday. The Liu family home was ready for them last year.

Mrs. Ramos has been actively helping the families of other murdered police officers, including the families of the five Dallas law enforcement officers murdered on July 7, 2016.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors FF Stephen Siller, 34, an FDNY SOC firefighter killed by terrorists in the attacks of September 11, 2001.
