Saudi government inks more lobbyists as Congress could revisit 9/11 bill in lame duck

The Saudi Arabian government has increased its lobbyists to oppose the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA) reports Catherine Ho in the Washington Post.

The Saudis have hired Rick Hohlt, Flywheel Government Solutions and Qorvis MSL Group, in addition to Hogan Lovells, the Podesta Group, Brownstein Hyatt and former senators John Breaux and Trent Lott, who now lobby with Squire Patton Boggs.

Congress overrode a Presidential veto of JASTA in September, and they are now being pressured to repeal their decision. Governors are also being contacted and warned of negative repercussions of JASTA.
