Saturday’s games at Nyack promote girls lacrosse and honor former team captain, Stacey Sennas McGowan, killed on 9/11

Stacey Sennas McGowan was honored at the fourteenth annual Stacey Sennas McGowan Memorial Lacrosse Games  at her alma mater Nyack High School.

Stacey, who played lacrosse at both Nyack High School and Boston College, was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 while a managing director at Sandler O’Neill & Partner on the 104th floor of the South Tower. She was 38, reports Nancy Haggerty of lohud.com.

Her mother, Fran, just gave up refereeing at the age of 77.
