Survivors’ stories are beginning to come out of Palma, the Mozambique gas hub town overrun by ISIS terrorists last week.
Emidio Jozine of Reuters spoke with survivor Fato Abdula Ali, 29, who was nine months pregnant and delivered her son alone after fleeing to the woods and being separated from her husband and three children. She found other survivors the next day who helped her escape to safety.
Tens of thousands are believed to have escaped from the town. Only 9,900 survivors have been accounted for, though many could still be hiding in the woods.
