Rotary Club thanks Medina City Council for support of 9/11 memorial

A representative from the Medina (Ohio) Rotary Club thanked Medina City Council members for supporting a local 9/11 memorial, reports Alyssa Alfano of Cleveland.com.

Medina applied for and received a piece of World Trade Center steel and will build a memorial honoring those killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Funds still need to be raised, estimated at $80,000.

The memorial committee is planning a book of the 9/11 memories of Medina residents as a fundraiser. If you would like to share your story, contact the Medina Rotary Club.
