Revamped design for Foster + Partners’ Two World Trade Center awaits reveal, in Financial District

Two World Trade Center, which has been on hold for years, will again be designed by its original architect, Norman Foster of Foster + Partners, reports Michael Young for YIMBY.

No progress has been made at the site, which is bound by Greenwich Street, Vesey Street, Church Street, and Fulton Street. Construction started in 2010, but never progressed much above street level.

Foster’s original design had a tilted top with four diamond shapes. Whether this design remains Foster’s concept remains to be seen.
