Retired FDNY Lt. Michael Bishop responded on 9/11. He’s now receiving hospice care for cancer.

Retired FDNY Lt. Michael Bishop, who responded to the 9/11 terrorist attacks despite being retired, is in hospice care for World Trade Center-related cancer. He served 20 years in the FDNY.

Bishop was diagnosed with World Trade Center-related prostate cancer in 2019. It has spread to his bones, reports Mina Corpuz in the Brockton Enterprise.
