Retired FDNY Firefighter Michael Duffy dead at 63 after battle with 9/11-linked cancer

Retired FDNY Firefighter Michael Duffy, 63, died of World Trade Center-related cancer on August 8, 2017. Duffy had a 20-year career in the FDNY, all of it at Engine 310/Ladder 174 in East Flatbush, retiring in 2002 reports Thomas Tracy in the New York Daily News.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for St. Jude’s Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Burn Center and the FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation, which drives sick and injured firefighters and/or their families to medical appointments, hospitals and funerals.
