A Queens intersection has been named for FDNY Chief Ronald Spadafora, a 40-year veteran of the Fire Department who led the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site after the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
The corner of Rockaway Boulevard and 90th Street has been renamed Chief Ronald Spadafora Way.
Chief Spadafora died in 2018 of site-related cancer. He was 63, reports CBS New York.
