Pope Francis Remembers Victims of Terrorism at Easter Mass

Pope Francis used part of his Easter Sunday message at St. Peter’s Basilica to remember worldwide victims of terrorism, including those of the most recent attacks in Cameroon, Belgium, Turkey, Nigeria, Chad, the Ivory Coast and Iraq writes Frances D’Emilio in Time.

The Pope also defied terrorists, who have long listed the Vatican as a potential target, by engaging with the large crowd from the popemobile.
