The Battle Creek Fire Department now has a 700-pound piece of steel recovered from the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, reported Logan Crawford of WWMT.
Battle Creek fire officials hope to make a memorial, but have no specific plans at this point.
