Phone access demanded for accused 9/11 plotters at Guantánamo

A member of the defense team for the alleged 9/11 terrorists argued that restricting the phone access of the accused plotters violates international and U.S. law, reports Tim Ryan in Courthouse News Service.

Defense attorney Michael Schwartz compared the prisoners time in custody to “kidnapping” and argued for real-time communication between the alleged terrorists and their families.
