Paris attack victims remembered at September 11 memorial ceremony

“We stand here in solidarity, remembering how France stood next to us saying ‘We are New York. We are American,’ after 9/11,” Craig Stapleton, former U.S. ambassador to France, told the crowd at the National September 11th Memorial plaza.

On November 17, 2015, Newsday published  an article by Maria Alvarez about the remembrance ceremony held at the Survivor Tree on the site of the World Trade Center.

Joel Shapiro, whose wife, Sareve Dukat, was murdered by terrorists in the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, also attended.
