On the Rise: Here’s What’s Up with the WTC Performing Arts Center

Leslie Koch, president of the Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center, recently updated Community Board 1 on progress at the center.

Carl Glassman of the Tribeca Trib reports that the performing arts space should open by the end of 2022; that the new chair, replacing Barbra Steisand, is Michael Bloomberg; and that no programming has yet been determined. There will be no dedicated parking lot, but 7 World Trade Center can be used as a drop-off spot.

The ground floor of the center will be open, with some free performances.
