Park Drive South in North Valley Stream has been renamed to honor retired NYPD Deputy Chief Vincent DeMarino, who died of World Trade Center-related brain cancer in 2019.
He was a 27-year veteran of the NYPD. All four of his children followed their father into the NYPD, reported News 12 staff.
