New York top court weighs 9/11 debris-exposure claims

The New York State Court of Appeals is hearing arguments regarding the constitutionality of a law granting extra filing time to World Trade Center recovery workers who dealt with asbestos, reports Yancey Roy in NY Newsday. 

Eighteen workers who have become ill due to their work at the site handling asbestos after the terrorist attacks are hoping for the right to sue Battery Park City Authority, which is fighting to dismiss their claims.
