New York primary election postponed to honor 9/11 anniversary, Rosh Hashanah

Legislation has been signed moving the NYS primary election from Tuesday, September 11, 2018 to Thursday, September 13, 2018, reports Glenn Blain in the New York Daily News.

The change was made because of Tuesday’s conflict with the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish holy day.

The election date will remain as scheduled on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
