New treatment destroys head and neck cancer tumours in trial

A new clinical trial in the United Kingdom using a “cocktail” of cancer medications has completely destroyed head and neck tumours for some patients with terminal cancer, writes Andrew Gregory for the Guardian.

Experts believe that combining immunotherapy drugs could significantly help people with advanced forms of skin, colon, and kidney cancers too.

The combination treatment also reduces side effects.

Further studies will be done, but this treatment seems promising.
