MTA dogs named for fallen officers, soldiers, graduate from terrorism training at Grand Central Terminal

The MTA recently added 15 new terrorism and explosives-trained dogs to their force. The dogs are named for police officers who have died, including Det. James Zadroga and PO Stephen Driscoll. Officer Driscoll was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Det. Zadroga contracted pulmonary fibrosis from his work during the recovery effort. An October 21, 2015 AM NY article by Rebecca Harshbarger about the dogs can be found here.
