Hugh Hales-Tooke refused to shake hands with Mayor de Blasio at a ceremony marking the first anniversary of the Lower Manhattan bike path terrorist attack. Bill de Blasio neglected to read the names of victims despite naming all attending politicians, and informed family members of victims less than 24 hours before the ceremony.
Mr. Hales-Tooke, a friend of Monica Missio, mother of victim Nicholas Cleves, described her as “very hurt” by the insensitivity, reported Rich Calder and Ruth Brown in the NY Post.
