Christian Red of the New York Daily News reported on March 30, 2016 that the president of the Baseball Hall of Fame would like Mike Piazza’s jersey from the September 21, 2001 home game to be in the Hall of Fame.
The jersey is being auctioned off. Nothing is known about who will profit from the sale or where the shirt will go.
