Memorial garden dedicated for NYPD hero Steven McDonald

The Steven McDonald Garden of Forgiveness was dedicated in Westwood Park yesterday.

A young father-to-be, NYPD Detective Steven McDonald was shot by a teenager in 1986. He was McDonald was paralyzed, but forgave his attacker teenager, and lived a life of service. He died in 2017 due to complications from his injuries, report Dean Balsamini and Larry Celona for the NY Post.
