Local organizations encouraged to apply for Bill Sugra Memorial Fund

Grant applications are being accepted by the Bill Sugra Memorial Fund from eligible Lehigh Valley nonprofit organizations that help those in need.

In memory of Bill Sugra, who was killed in the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001, the fund was established by the Sugra family and has distributed more than $300,000 in grants to local organizations, according to a news release.

The deadline to apply is July 1. Grant recipients will be announced in September.

Applications will be available here. Completed applications may be sent to Bill Sugra Memorial Fund, c/o Saint Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, PA, 18103.
