The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation has presented 2021 scholarships to Caitlyn Brough, who plans to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy, and Shafer Kam of Hawaii, who plans a career in aviation.
Flight 93 First Officer LeRoy W. Homer Jr. was one of the pilots of United Flight 93, who was killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The foundation in his honor is run by his widow, Melodie Homer, to support young people who are pursuing a career in aviation, reports David Tutis of AOPA.
