Keane Foundation fuels youth programs in memory of local 9/11 victims

The Keane Foundation of Wethersfield has given almost $50.00 in grants to local schools and groups this spring, reports Amanda Morris in the Hartford Courant. The school programs funded by the Keane Foundation will allow local children to study art, cooking, aviation, Spanish, magic, karate, and fashion design.

Richard Keane, the inspiration for the foundation, was a generous, charitable father of five, who was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 on the 99th floor of the World Trade Center’s North Tower

‘”He’d hear someone was in need and jump to it,” Keane said. “I’m just continuing that legacy.”‘
