John G. Chipura Blood Drive to honor a life of continuous service

Saturday’s John G. Chipura Blood Drive will honor a man who was an NYPD officer, a United States Marine, a terrorism survivor, and an FDNY firefighter who responded to the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, where he was killed at the age of 39.

The John G. Chipura Foundation will honor the 75th anniversary of Iwo Jima along with remembering John, reports Ann Marie Barron for the Staten Island Advance.

The blood drive will be held at Staten Island’s Our Lady Help of Christians from 9:00am until 3:00pm on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Full details about the blood drive are available on our events page.
