Joan Dater of Mahwah, mother of Lockerbie bombing victim and advocate for families, dies at 73

Joan Dater died Saturday of ovarian cancer at the age of 73. Her daughter, Gretchen, was murdered by terrorists on December 21, 1988 when Pan Am 103 was bombed, writes Jay Levin in The Record.

Joan Dater became one of the key advocates for justice after the bombing, and an active member of Victims of Flight 103 Inc.
