Two of the four British terrorists known as the “Beatles” are in Virginia, facing charges of kidnapping and torturing Western hostages, report Adam Goldman and Charlie Savage for the New York Times.
Named for the singers because of their accents, the “Beatles” were known to be particularly brutal to prisoners and beheaded several men. One of the other members of the group was killed in a Syrian airstrike in 2015; the fourth member of the the group is in a Turkish prison awaiting trial there.
