Rep. Dan Crenshaw has agreed to back the bill that would permanently fund the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund to help those sickened by the toxins at the World Trade Center, after initially angering members of the September 11th community by refusing.
Crenshaw was involved in an altercation on social media recently, but has now agreed to support those sick from the attacks.
The bill currently has more than enough support in the House, but its companion bill in the Senate is getting little support.
The 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund has cut funding to the sick, and will run out of money completely by next year. The number of the sick continues to grow, writes Michael McAuliff for the New York Daily News.
