Gov. announces $9M in state aid for 9/11 workers who suffered health problems

New York state will provide $9,000,000 to assist with medical expenses and lost wages of volunteers who developed illnesses from working at the site of the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Glenn Blain reported in the New York Daily News that Governor Cuomo made this announcement on May 3, 2016.

It is not clear whether this policy includes only volunteer workers at the site or whether it is being assumed that all the recovery workers were volunteers.
