Gordon Felt became a leader for the families of the 40 passengers and crew aboard United Flight 93 on September 11, 2001 and was instrumental in building the Flight 93 National Memorial. One of the Flight 93 passengers was his brother Edward.
He has made more than 100 trips to the site where his brother was killed.
This year, Felt is planning a week’s worth of commemorative events. And the Flight 93 families’ association, whose purpose was building the memorial, will then end.
“We have reached our goal,” he told Catherine Triomphe of the Jakarta Post.
