A fund has been established to honor the memory of Firefighter Thomas K. Kontizas, who died of World Trade Center-related leukemia in 2017 after a 22-year career with the FDNY.
His widow, Karen, has started the Kontizas Fund to support Pike County causes important to Thomas Kontizas, including emergency services, social services, and the arts, reports the Pike County Courier.
