Flight 93 families hope to keep story alive with annual heroism award

The Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial are establishing an annual heroism award so that people who were born after the 9/11 terrorist attacks will have a yearly reminder of what happened on that day.

By September 11, 2021, 75 million Americans — nearly a quarter of the population — will have been born since the terrorist attacks, reports Marc Levy for the Associated Press.

Nominations for the award open next week and can be made here.
