FDNY rescue boat to become Sleepy Hollow restaurant

An FDNY fireboat that saved many people during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 will soon become a restaurant, writes Megan McCaffrey of The Journal News.

The John D. McKean was purchased at auction by the owners of Purdy’s Farmer and the Fish in North Salem. The restaurant is due to open in July.
