The Dunedin Fire Department in Florida received steel from the World Trade Center eight months ago and hopes that their memorial to those murdered in the terrorist attacks of 2001 will be complete by this year’s anniversary. Financial problems may prevent them from reaching this goal.
As planned, the Dunedin 9/11 memorial will feature a pair of stainless steel hands lifting the World Trade Center steel from a brick and granite base, writes Katie Jones of Bay News 9.
