Doctor was paid to treat 9/11 firefighters. He vacationed abroad and stole $160,000, cops say

Dr. Michael Poyin Chang lied about working at two World Trade Center Monitoring Clinics, claiming to have worked 220 days when he was not scheduled to work and 81 days when travel records prove he was out of the U.S., thereby stealing $156,757 from the clinics, reports Jared Gilmour in the Miami Herald.

Chang worked at the Queens and Orange County World Trade Center Monitoring Clinics.

He was released on $250,000 bond. If convicted, he could spend up to ten years in prison.
