Director says ‘Stronger’ will premiere at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital September 12

The September 12, 2017 United States premiere of the new film Stronger, about Boston Marathon bombing survivor and double amputee Jeff Bauman, will take place at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, where 32 of those injured in the bombings were cared for writes Mark Shanahan in the Boston Globe.

Charlestown’s branch of the hospital had opened only 12 days after the bombings. Half of the 32 victims who were treated there had amputations.

Many of the hospital staff play themselves in the film.
