Jillian Suarez now wears the NYPD shield that belonged to her father, Officer Ramon Suarez, who was killed during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, two days after her ninth birthday.
The new NYPD Officer Suarez joined the NYPD yesterday.
The daughter of a New York Police Department officer killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks graduated the NYPD Police Academy on Monday.
“When I felt that confetti coming down, I felt him hugging me instead,” she told reporters from PIX11 News.
