Clinton schools to honor alumnus Edward Felt with 9/11 memorial

Clinton Central School District in Oneida County, NY is building a memorial to honor alumnus Edward Porter Felt, who was one of the heroes aboard United Flight 93 during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Edward Felt graduated from Clinton in 1977, reports the Utica Observer-Dispatch.

The memorial, an informational plaque and an engraved stone bench, will be supported by a fund that might also support a memorial scholarship.

The school hopes to complete the memorial in time for next year’s anniversary of the attacks.
