Warnings of a Christmastime terrorist attack in Australia have come from intelligence sources, reports Andrew Prentice for Daily Mail Australia.
The pandemic has enabled some terrorist groups to increase their presence, particularly in Southeast Aisa, and terror groups are more sophisticated than those working in the past.
Terror expert Rohan Gunaratna says that while terrorist attack numbers are down since the pandemic began, there has been a “dramatic increase” in the reach of terrorist groups.
